Most of our notices will be found in 'Open Door', our weekly news sheet which can be viewed or downloaded from the Diary page, where you can find further details of our programme.
This page contains additional and long-term notices, as well as links to our 'Trinity Teachings' series of sermons and some other sermons which are available on line. We shall continue to make a selection of our sermons available on our website for the time being at least - they will in due course be moved to a separate 'Sermons' page.
Please refer to the NOTES further down for general information and help with this page.
Our hall underwent refurbishment during 2012. Much of the work was funded by a generous grant from SITA Trust. Go to our Hall Refurbishment Facebook and Twitter pages to find out more and get the latest update:
www.facebook.com/ImmanuelStAndrewHall
The refurbishment is now complete with a new ceiling and lighting, refurbished cloakrooms, an acoustic screen between the hall and the Church, redecoration including refinishing the floor and curtains for the hall windows and stage. The pictures below show (clockwise from top left) a general view of the hall, a closer view of the stage, a view of the hall from the stage end and a view at night with the new lighting in action (taken before the curtains were put up). The acoustic screen is visible in the first picture, on the right behind the white pillars. Like the previous wooden partition, it can be folded back to allow the hall to be used as an extension to the Church, but, when closed as in the photo it acts as a very effective sound barrier between the two.

During the Summer (Trinity) period we were trying through our Sunday sermons to gain in our understanding of the 'big picture' of what God is like. This seris of sermons is now finished, as are the study sessions held on Wednesdays, but copies of some of the sermons are still available in the foyer and can also be downloaded in 'pdf' format from the website here.

A big 'Thank you' to all who give! If you give through a standing order or the envelope scheme it helps us with financial planning and is essential if we are to recover tax under Gift Aid. Please use one of these methods if you can. Further details from David Gray, Treasurer, Caroline Hewitt, Gift Aid Secretary, or Joyce Lynch, Envelope Secretary - or visit the Giving to Immanuel and St Andrew page. Thank you.

This Fund is held by your Vicar to provide emergency assistance to some of the most needy and vulnerable people in the parish. A small extra contribution each week when you get a cup of tea or coffee will help boost the Fund, which often needs an injection of resources.

There is a collection bin for the Foodbank in the foyer now. Maybe if you buy 3 for 2 or “BOGOF” foodstuffs you could donate the extra one???

Don’t forget the BOGOF message - Buy one GIVE one to Foodbank! Thak you!

Most of our notices will be found in our weekly News and Notices sheet 'OPEN DOOR', which can be viewed or downloaded from the Diary page.
This page contains additional and long-term notices. It is normally updated every 1-2 weeks, assuming there is new information to add. That will normally be less often in holiday periods, when there are usually fewer changes. Some events may therefore be past when you visit the site.
If you notice errors, or know of changes or have additional dates or information for this page, please e-mail the webmaster. (This link will take you to the Who's Who page, where there is an e-mail address. Please note that most e-mail links have been removed from this site to reduce the risk of unsolicited bulk e-mail ('spam').)
Activities sometimes take place at the homes of members. However, to protect individual privacy, private addresses and telephone numbers
of members are not normally shown.

Immanuel's normal pattern of services is shown on the services page, where you can also find more information about our worship and other activities. Our main service on Sunday is at 10:00am. For more details of services in the coming week and any changes to the regular pattern see 'OPEN DOOR', our weekly news and notice sheet, which can be viewed or downloaded from the Diary page. Copies of 'Open Door' are also available at the church, and a copy is usually posted beside the church door.
Please note that the 10:00am All Age Service (and the 9:00am Holy Communion which precedes it), are normally on the THIRD Sunday of each month. On the other Sundays (1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of each month) we have Holy Communion at 10:00am. The arrangements are shown on the services page.
Junior Church groups normally meet during the first part of the 10:00am service on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of each month in school term time (i.e. NOT during school holidays). All children are welcome to come along to the Junior Church groups. If any children have allergies or special needs please would parents/guardians make sure that the Junior Church leaders are made aware of them. Thank you.
If you began coming to Immanuel and St Andrew's only recently and would like to know more, please ask one of the clergy, wardens or stewards for a 'Welcome Card'.
