just 10 - A Mission for South London - 11th-25th September 2004.

Immanuel and St Andrew's was a Partner Church in the just 10 south london Mission.

The just 10 mission itself is over and there have been follow-up activities - in particular, Christian Basics courses at various venues. On this page are brief details of what has happened at Immanuel and also some feedback from the mission office. Below that, you can read what just 10 was about - in case you missed it! The mission website, formerly at www.just10southlondon.org, is no longer available, but you may be able to view the site at www.just10.org.

Christian Basics and Adult Confirmation course at Immanuel.

Our course, run by Revd Wendy Aird and Marion Gray, combined Christian basics teaching with a Confirmation course. Liz Owens and Laura Reynolds from Immanuel were confirmed on 21 November 2004 at the Confirmation Service at Christ Church Gipsy Hill. (This course is now over - contact the clergy if you want to know about future courses - see the Home page.)

Feedback: What happened at just 10? What next?

The latest e-mailing from the just 10 office tells us what happened and that we have so much to thank God for:

What needs to happen next is to:

UNITY is the catalyst for Revival ... there were over 200 different churches across London involved in just 10 - an amazing groundswell of unity has been born. We sense that God wants us to build on this wonderful momentum and unity. We will be exploring how we can move forward together over the next months. Please pray for wisdom, guidance and increased unity.

In the meantime, if you have a passion for church unity and spiritual revival in London, do join a group of leaders and individuals from just 10 churches who prayed throughout just 10 and continue to pray fervently for our city every Monday night from 8pm at St Stephen’s Church South Lambeth, St Stephen’s Terrace, SW8. All are welcome whenever you are able. Let’s make a difference in our city!

What was just 10? This was - and is - the vision

The vision of just 10 south london is to see churches throughout South London come together to impact on the local communities. Christian communicator J.John was invited to bring his just 10 series to South London in September 2004 - 10 talks, delivered over 2 weeks, in a huge 10,000-seater marquee on Clapham Common.

just 10 - objectives

just 10 - programme

just10, which has been given at a number of venues around the country, is a series of evenings based on the timeless wisdom of the 10 Commandments – values and principles for life in the real world. Each evening combines music, film and a presentation by J.John – a man with a very different take on life. In just 10 south london the programme was:
